Who we are
Tweed Telecom is a trading name of MB Computers, which is itself the trading name of Matthew Brown, a sole trader operating from Newmains, Wishaw and Peebles in Scotland. Because MB Computers is a sole trader, there is no company registration number.

What this website collects
- Enquiries you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include. If the contact form is enabled, the same details go to our form handler.
- Server logs. Our web server records the requested page, time, response code, IP address and browser user agent. We use these to keep the site working and to investigate abuse.
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, social embeds or any third-party tracker on this site. There are no marketing cookies.
Local storage
The site stores one preference in your browser: whether you chose the light or dark theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer an enquiry: our legitimate interests in responding to prospective and existing customers, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To keep the site secure and available: our legitimate interests in running a reliable service.
Who we share it with
We use a hosting provider to serve this site and an email provider to receive messages. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Server logs are kept for a short period, typically no more than 30 days. Customer records are kept for the life of the account and for as long as tax and contract law requires.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date above. Material changes affecting customers will be communicated directly.
